This issue is another in the on-going Black Heritage series. The background for the hand-painted cachet is the musical score from the "Manle Leaf Rag". Boldly across the face of the cachet is a piano keyboard which is almost a must for any tribute to Scott Jonlin. Pinally, there is a small, shoulder length portrait of the famous musician positioned in front of the score and behind the keyboard.

A single stamp is hand canceled First Day of Issue at official city of Sedalia, Missouri. A second single was then unofficially canceled with a small bullseye at a great related city - Joplin, Missouri. It is quite a long drive to Joplin and the covers had t be quickly serviced at Sedalia in order to get them on the road. The duo cancels really make this a nice cover to own. Item #S601 - Price $5.50
