A brood of young ducklings surround their mother mottled duck in this hand-painted cachet. A thicket of leafy growth provides a hidden sanctuary for the new-borns. A nice First Day of Issue Tallahassee postmark ties the new stamp to the cover. The numbering system is a little confusing as serial numbers used were 3102-01 to 3117-10. Numbers were in segments of ten for exarnple 3102-01 to 3102-10. The net number of MILFORDS produced for this issue was 160.
