1994 ILLINOIS

The new 1994 ten dollar Illinois Duck stamp is entitled "Chessies and Cans ". Building on this theme I show a wetlands marsh on my hand-painted cachet. Two Chessapeake retriever puppies huddle together next to a canvassback duck decoy. In the background, other decoys are displayed on the water as flights of ducks pass overhead.

The stamp serial numbers used on this issue are 751 to 900. The pictorial postmark is from the Prairieland Philatelic Station and incorporates an interesting state outline.
