1995 MINNESOTA

Lake City is located on the shores of Lake Pepin south of the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. It is excellent habitat to various waterfowl and offers a wonderful postmark for this year's Minnesota MILFORD. Stamp serial numbers used were 153051 thru 153230 except for 153176, 153186, and 153187 for a net of 177 covers made.

A solitary gadwall duck stands at the edge of a marsh in my hand-painted cachet. The subjects of his attention have ventured from the nearby forest to graze on the tender wetlands vegetation. But, at this moment the stately white-tail buck and his companion doe have spotted the duck and are returning the scrutiny. This cachet offers a good example of watercolor blending
