1995 OHIO

This is a classic MILFORD hand-painted Duck Cover. It features an eleven dollar Ohio Duck Stamp which makes it a "High Value" philatelic gem. Only 140 were produced and the postmark is from Columbus. The watercolor cachet has a rustic village as its theme. A rushing spillway cascades water into the river on which a male pintail Ieisurely swims. His mate stands nearby on a grassy bank -- only a short walk over a wooden bridge from the village in the background. An abundant use of grays and browns gives this cachet a sense of warmth and realism.
