This special stamp salutes Canadian efforts to maintain vigorous populations of migratory birds via the annual Atlantic Waterfowl Celebration. It pictures a pair of beautiful Canada Geese. The Day of Issue postmark is a fine pictorial.

One of the year's best cachets brings the frozen sub-Arctic north into your collection. This handpainted MILFORD in my 1996 Wildlife Series features a mother polar bear and her two yearling cubs. As the furry trio watches from an ice fIow, a lone honker flies by over the open water of the spring thaw. Note how the natural curve of the wing and neck provides a nice border between cachet and stamps. Only 125 covers of this limited edition MILFORD were produced.
