GARDEN FLOWERS - TULIP

The carefully groomed and manicured lawns and flower beds of Washington, D.C. is the setting for this up-lifting handpainted cachet. Cherry trees are in full blossom and living rainbows of multi-colored tulips bring this COLLINS to life.

Rather than individual plants, I opted to depict the tulips in mass plantings, and my cachet includes literally hundreds of these familiar and beautiful spring flowers.

I'm always delighted to see these birds return because I know that their presence ensures that the warm weather and new life-cycle are once again at hand.

Once again I've used the type-style with the hand-painted leaf-like designs incorporated into the lettering itself. I think it's been very distinctive for this set and certainly will set my covers apart from others. The attractive tulip stamp is canceled with First Day Spokane, Washington postmark.
