Collins Cover Announcement

1993 COLLINS DUCK

It's time again for the "once-a-year" COLLINS First Day Cover for the annual Federal Migratory Bird Stamp. This 'Duck will ONLY be produced for collectors ordering them at this time. What this means is that collectors obtaining this item will have an instant sold-out' COLLINS in their holdings and you can count on an instant appreciation of value as has happened to all of my COLLINS Ducks since I started doing them in 1981.

The hand-painted "entire" cachet will be an absolute beauty featuring the magnificent canvaspack Duck. It nests on prairie marshes and winters on open bays and lakes with ample vegetation. Aquatic weeds, wild celery and seeds make up its main diet, but it will also eat an occasional insect or fish. A mahagony-red head and large, sloping bill make this duck an appealing subject for a wildlife painting. Also, choosing the right habitat and blending everything together is a project I enjoy doing. The Canvasback is a very distinctive species, and you will love the bold and attractive hand-painted cachet on this year's cover. A most handsome addition to any collection.

I urge you not to miss owning this COLLINS. Since it will not be available from me after this announcement, the only source for future collectors will be from those who obtain it now. For this reason, I suggest that, in addition to acquiring one for your personal collection, you consider an extra or two for future sale or trade. To repeat, I'll only be producing covers foi those who order from this offering.

There will be a deadline of Monday, June 28th for acceptance of orders. I suggest that you return the enclosed order form in the next day or two. You won't want to miss this one as each year it is one of the eagerly awaited, premier COLLINS Covers, and you can be sure that it will join my previous "Duck' FDCs as a very sought-after collectible.

May I offer a final word of caution. A couple of you will put off ordering this cover now and then forget to do it later in time.

Also, a few will delay their decision and when finally deciding "YES will find that the deadline has come and gone. Please don't be included in the small group that will be disappointed with their inaction. Order yours in the next day or two so that you'll be sure. The superb artistic detail and lovely cachet design in this year's hand-painted cachet is just great. This is your one and ony chance to obtain my 1993 Federal Migratory Bird Stamp First Day Cover. The hand-painted cachet will be a true gem. The Duck postmark will add philatelic interest. The instant sold out" status will provide immediate appreciation. 1993 Canvasback by COLLINS. Don't miss it. $32.00.

Dear Collector,

It is with a great deal of pleasure that I can finally send out my 1993 Federal Duck Stamp First Day Covers. The hand painting is always a time-consuming project and I don't want to send them to some collectors and make others wait. So, now they are completed, and I thank you for your patience.

This COLLINS has all of the components necessary to join my previous award-winning "Duck" FDCs in the American First Day Cover Society competition. Time will tell. I do like very much the composition of this effort with hand-painted cachet, stamps, and pictorial cancel all combining to form a very special example of Duck stamp/art First Day Covers.

I appreciate your support and hope that you enjoy having this wildlife COLLINS in your collection -- Canvasbacks at the family nest. Thank you.

Best regards
