Cover Announcement 

This final cover offlering, featuring the wonderful art of Disney, is for the adventure-packed Lion King. Shown in a very colorful hand painted cachet are Simba as a frisky and trouble-prone young cub, with three of his friends - Zam the wise hornbill; Pumbaa" the loyal warthog; and Timon, the quick-witted meerkat. The other three Disney stamps in this series are old-time traditional favorites - Mickey Mouse , Bambi, and Pinocchio. I think it's a nice touch to include a more recent popular character such as Simba. It's a very light-hearted and whimsical cachet, and I'm sure you will enjoy it.

This completes the set of four for the first-ever Disney stamps. My cachets are intended as a tribute to the great artistic talent of Disney, and I'm sure that this quartet of Collins First Day Covers will endure as yery special collectibles in our hobby.
