Collins First Day Covers is a family endeavor, and over the years, Linda and I have had the pleasure of featuring each of our children on a special cachet of their own. It's now Christina's turn, which will make this the fifth and fmal Collins kid cachet. Christy began working for me prior to high school. -S-he continued-through-college and currently helps out each-summer- Many of you will remember the brief hand written notes she sent with your covers, and some have met her in person over the years at the various First Day Cover shows and conventions. It is really fitting that she will now have a Collins cachet of her own.

The individually hand painted cachets show Christy in a favorite spot in her classroom - the reading corner. She is sharing the tale of "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" with a few students. That's the new stamp on the cover, and it has a bullseye first day of issue postmark. Christina has already proven to be an excellent teacher, and I'm glad that she will forever be in her "reading corner" on a Collins First Day Cover.

This cover is completely different from the set that I did for this issue, and it will be the final one offered for the popular Favorite Children's Book Animals series. As a limited special cachet/postmark Collins variety, it will be an excellent one to own. Don't miss ordering before I sell out. Also I think this cachet will be actively sought in future years because it features an immediate family member who has contributed so much to Collins First Day Covers.
