Cover Announcement
STAR WARS
Rapid sell-out expected. A quick response is suggested.
Eye-catching multi-sized stamps with varied position placements on covers will help make this Collins set with cachets individually done in magnificent watercolors the best one produced for this issue.
For about thirty years, the same amount of time that Collins cachets have been produced, episodes of "Star Wars" have delighted three decades of moviegoers. With an amazing blend of science fiction and the ageless good versus evil theme, the incredibly imaginative heroes and villains have fought their battles across a galaxy filled with unusual planets and inhabited by strange creatures_ Collectors who concentrate on the topics of entertainment and space will love this Collins series of individually hand painted cachets, but I also think that all of my collectors will truly appreciate and enjoy the uniqueness of this set.
Individual stamps in the colorful set are awesome. Futuristic spaceships featured are the "Millennium Falcon" and the "X-Wing Starfighter." The "Darth Vader" stamp is huge, and I guarantee you that this Collins First Day Cover will instantly become a highly coveted and sought-after collectible as an individual piece. The only way to get it at original cost is by acquiring it as part of this set. Exotic creatures such as the pointy-eared Yoda and the lion-like Chewbacca join the fight against the EvilEmpire and appear on the stamps. Robotic creations like C-3Po and R2-D2 likewise join heroes Luke Skywalker and Han Solo on the side of good against evil. Villains Darth Maul, Boba Fell, and Emperor Palpatine, bolstered by legions of storm troopers, are the deadly adversaries in the Star War" saga. Each. has a stamp of its own. Princess Leia Organs is the beautiful heroine of the story and is a twin of the ongoing hero Luke Skywalker. Their mother is Queen Padme Amidala, and both of these lovely members of the Royal Family are depicted on the stamps. The final two stamps are devoted to Obi-Wan Kenobi. One is a portrait of the aging noble warrior, and the other shows Obi-Wan as he engages in a light saber duel with his former apprentice and Luke's father Anakin Skywalker — who had gone over to Dark Side and become the dreaded Darth Vader.
By invoicing and shipping these incredible First Day Covers at the rate of one per month, they will fit into every hobby budget. Just as my ongoing Lewis & Clark set sold out quickly when offered (the available sets were reserved in less than two weeks), and my recently announced Mickey Mantle limited variety (holding bats) cachet left many late-ordering collectors disappointed by a quick sell-out. I expect this Star Wars set to go fast. They will immediately go up in value, but more importantly in the years ahead they will establish themselves as true treasures in our First Day Cover hobby. The opportunity to obtain them is at hand, and by sending in the order form promptly you can enjoy putting the full collection together now over the next fifteen months and then take pleasure in tracking the set's collectibility and value in the years ahead. Don't delay and as Obi-Wan Kenobi would say, "May the Force be with you. "
