Collins Cover Announcement
BABY BUGGY 1880'S (7.4e)
This is another issue in the popular Transportation Series. Can you believe a baby buggy as a means of transportation? I couldn't. The good news is that it provided me with an opportunity to do a delightful First Day Cover.
The hand painted cachet really'goes all out for "old time" flavor -- a wicker carriage complete with a fringed attached parasol to keep the sun off of the precious passenger. Compar'ed to the stark nature of today's metal and fabric back-pack baby seat, the youngster of the late 1800's really rode in ornate style. I .think you will enjoy adding this cute cachet to the others of the TrPr,sportation Series. (By the way, if you need any of the others in this popular series, please consult your most recent Price List. Several are getting quite low in stock.)
A strip of three is officially canceled "First Day of Issue" San Diego. For my unofficial I chose the city of the Angels (Los Angeles) for what better word can describe the lovable bundles of baby buggy age. The unofficial is a large, clear bullseve and it, too, ties a strip of three to the cover. I'm tempted to say that this cover just cries to be in your collection but I won't. Item #B801 - $5.50.
