This is the fifth and final cachet in my Herbs mini-series. Following the hand painted covers featuring England, Italy, France, and Ireland, this one concludes the set by coming back to the good old U.S.A. Used today mainly as a cooking herb to flavor food, this scene features a potted sage plant, adding a botanical touch to a traditional Thanksgiving feast. Links of sausage, a roasted turkey, and a bowl of stuffing have all been prepared with a hint of the distinctive herb. The flowering plant adds a nice touch to the culinary scene.

As with the previous four covers in this lovely set, the extra-large "S" is the signature artistic element making this Collins herb series stand out as something truly different and distinctive.
