"Year of the Snake"

A powerful visual impact makes this individually hand painted cachet something special. An intricately marked python has entwined itself around bamboo stalks and, in so doing, has encircled the new stamp and its first day of issue cancellation. The stamp shows traditional firecrackers, and at its upper left there is a small golden snake. By contrast, my snake is a large and detailed whole envelope rendition, and the watercolored reptile makes a bold impression from the tips of the forked tongue to the tip of the tail.
