Cover Announcement 

Set of Ten

When this Elvis stamp was announced by the Postal Service, I knew that I wanted to create something above and beyond anything created by other cachetmakers. The cachets had to be a fitting tribute to the King of Rock 'n Roll as well as he covers that would further enhance the Collins reputation within the hobby. The couple of times in the past when an Elvis stamp has been issued, my Collins cachets sold out quickly and now are very sought after. As with the recent "Vintage Circus Posters" set of 8, I expect this Collins set to go fast, so please do not delay in signing up for it.

This individually hand painted set has a lot going for it There are five covers based on hit songs and five based on Presley motion pictures. The song covers have a musical notes vignette at the bottom right. On the movie covers, a reel of film vignette is at the bottom right. As for the lovely cachets themselves, they are "entires" which means they illustrate the whole face of the envelope just leaving room for the new Elvis stamp and the first day of issue bullseye postmark. I believe that my goal was reached and this set of Collins covers will be the finest group by any cachetmaker.

In order to allow time for the extensive hand painting, these covers will be sent at one per month. The first to be shipped is G.I Blues which seems appropriate since I am writing this on Memorial Day. It was a big deal at the time when Elvis actually served in the army. Each month I will send a cover and invoice you for the next one. It is your choice whether you remit by check or have me automatically ship and charge your credit card each month. You will look forward to each month's cachet with eager anticipation.

This set in all probability will sell out quickly, so please send in your order form as soon as possible. This will be an 

important group of Collins cachets to own and to have in your collection. In past years my Elvis cachets sold out rapidly and, as mentioned above, my recent Circus set was gone in a flash. Also my 47-cover set for the three "Lewis and Clark" stamps over a decade ago has become legend in the hobby, and that complete series was subscribed to in short order. My point is that I expect this set to go fast, so

Each cover has the first day of issue cancel from Memphis, Tennessee, which is the home of Graceland where Elvis lived and is now resting in eternal peace. Each and every envelope is hand painted, and the superb quality will add to the solid reputation of Collins. And each cachet captures "The King", in either a famous movie or singing at hit tune.
