This beautiful nomadic songbird is a little larger than the house sparow. The cedar waxwing is a sleek, crested bird with a distinctive yellow band at the tip of the tail, Many adults have red tips on secondary wing feathers. It is a brown bird with darker wings. The waxing is primarily a berry eater, and my indirvidually hand painted cachet shows a male with a juniper berry in its beak - offering it to his mate.

Their habitat includes open woodlands, streamside willows, and orchards. During the non-breeding season they are gregarious, flying and feeding in small flocks. My Cedar Waxwings in Snow are now ready. Collins #F5602 at $15.00.
