Wonder Woman is a fictional superhero who is a warrior princess of the Amazonian people. Outside of her homeland, she is known as Diana Prince. Wonder Woman first appeared in the comics in 1941.

The Postal Service has issued four new stamps featuring the Golden Age, Silver Age, Bronze Age, and Modern Age. This cachet begins my four cover mini-set and depicts the character from her earliest time period - the Golden Age. Each envelope is individually hand painted, and this design captures the warrior princess as she breaks through a concrete barrier.
