National Parks and Preserves

Set of Sixteen Covers

Available at one per month

This is an absolutely beautiful set of individually hand painted cachets that show sixteen of our most lovely and unique National Parks and Preserves. Please look closely at the enclosed illustrations, and you will see how precise and amazing these miniature works of art really are.

To each cachet, I've added a species of wildlife that can be found in the respective national park. In Glacier Bay, it's a young elusive wolverine surrounded by red lupine wildflowers. A pair of submerged manatees swim in the Everglades. A lone bison bull roams the extensive grasslands of Theodore Roosevelt National Park. A black bear is on the prowl by the hot steam geysers of Yellowstone.

Wild ponies whose ancestors escaped early Virginia settlers roam the seashore beaches of Assateague Island. A stealthy otter looks for fish from a dead tree walkway in Kenilworth Park. Harbor seals sun themselves in San Francisco Maritime National Park. A wary bobcat sips water with Mount Rainier in the background.

A magnificent wood duck glides over the mirror surface of a Vermont lake in the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Park. The Gulf Islands National Seashore is home to fearsome alligators. A pair of nene geese, Hawaii's National bird, pause in mountainous Haleakala National Park. A quilled porcupine gnaws a piece of wood in awe-inspiring Arches National Park.

A vigilant mountain lion is on alert as the Grand Canyon panorama provides a dramatic habitat backdrop. Two whales swim offshore from Maine's famous and beloved Acadia National Park. A regal elk meanders along a marked trail by Bandelier National Monument in New Mexico. A large bat flies over the large stalagmites growing from the floor of Carlsbad Caverns National Park.
