The Canada Goose is a beautiful, plentiful waterfowl and is a common sight throughout most of the Unites States. They can often be observed swimming on ponds and lakes, grazng in farmers' fields, or flying high overhead in their incredible V-formations. As a side note, those breathtaking flight patterns were the inspiration for the rarest of all Collins First Day Covers - 1978's CAPEX "Flying-V cachet." This waterfowl is a large bird with black head and neck that is highlighted with a pure white chin strap.
