The dog is the eleventh of twelve Zodiac animal signs associated with the Chinese Lunar calendar. My individually hand painted cachet features the Great Wall of China stretching into the distance over the rolling slopes. In the foreground sits a Chinese Crested, a breed not often seen in the United States. An intricate hand painted border frames the scene.

The lunar holiday is the most important of the year for many Asian communities. It is celebrated primarily by people with heritage rooted in China, Korea, Vietnam, Tibet and Mongolia. In the United States, parades and parties are common, and firecrackers are set off to drive away evil spirits.
