This is the fourth and final cover in my mini-set of four "Spookies." It's a dandy. With their forelimbs adapted as

wings, bats are the only mammals capable of true and sustained flight. There are over 1,400 species.

The stamp for this final Spooky is an iridescent like the other three. The color is purple, and if you move it in the light, three bats shimmer outside the window. The individually hand painted cachets give a good example of the forelimbs that have evolved into wings. AIso. I'm very pleased with the cachet colors in the set - various shades of orange, gold, yellow. and purple. For the bat corer, I chose yellow, lavender, and gold.
