This individuaily hand painted cachet features a pair of cardinals enjoying a meal of assorted seeds at a hanging birdfeeder. A peaked roof protects the seeds from the winter elements as well as offering some shelter to the feathered visitors. Snow on the roof and nearby branches conveys a sense of cold, and one is happy that the huddled cardinals have found a place to rest and replenish their energy.

From an artistic viewpoint, note how the green wreath and red background of the stamp coordinate with the green of the branches and the red of the male cardinal.
