Frogs

Pacific Tree Frog

Cover Announcement

This frog has a range along the Pacific coast from northem Califomia to southern Alaska. It is also known as the Pacific Chorus Frog. They live in water habitats from sea level to more than 10,000 feet. Their coloring can be various shades of greens and browns, and they can change colors to match their surrounding within hours.

The Pacific Tree Frog grows to about two inches in length. For the most part, they are nocturnal but occasionally can be spotted during the day. They hide under rotten logs, rocks, in long grasses, and leaf litter. Their diet consists of spiders, beetles, flies, ants, and other insects.

My hand painted cachet features one of the frogs on a rocky outcropping next to a smail waterfall pool. In the foreground, a fuIl bloom iris adds color and interest. This is the third Tree Frog offered in this eye-catching set of four. The Pacific Tree Frog - Collins #X5801 - is now ready at $16.50.
