Cover Announcement 

This cover has a lot going for it. First, this is the cover that won first place in its Hand Painted category in this year's National Cachetmakers Contest conducted by the American First Day Cover Society. The results were annoonced in August. Second, this is the ONLY cachet variety I produce for this stamp, so only subscribers will have it in their collection. Third, it is a high-value stamp with a circular shape used for internatioral postage.

The individual hand painting of this cachet is superb. The petals sweep upward, and the different shades are coordinated to create a 3-D look. Also, the dark shades of green were chosen to amplify the bright colors of the blooms.
