This individually hand painted cover continues my series entitled "Animals of the Homeland" which has proved to be very popular with collectors. This year's edition features the sleek and beautiful black panther. This big African cat is actually a leopard with a pigment color variation. They are mostly found in tropical forests with Kenya their most popular region in Africa. They have also been documented in India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Thailand, Malaysia, and Java.

Recent sightings in Kenya include a 2018 spotling of a female in tropica! grasslands, a 2007 photo secured on a wild animal camera trip, and a 1990 sighting on Mount Kenya. It is estimated that about eleven percent of a given leopard population area is of the black variety. My individually hand painted cachet shows a stealthy black panther emerging from tall grass concealment on a Kenyan savanna.
