Wyandotte Chicken
Cover Announcement
This handsome chicken was developed in the 1870s and was named after the Wyandotte tribe. My individually hand painted cachet shows a ''gold laced'' Wyandotte which has beautiful coloring. It got its name from the golden head and neck fathers.
It is a somewhat large bird with hens about 5 1/2 pounds and roosters 8 1/2 pounds. This breed was raised for both eggs and meat. The cachet show a hen in its chicken coop to nest for the night.
Wyandone Chicken. Collins #O6002 at $16.50.
