Cover Announcement

Gene Autry was a cowboy entertainer and personality of national prominence in the 1930s, 1940s, and 1950s. He was known as the "Singing Cowboy" and perfomted on the radio, in films, and on television. From 1934 to 1953, he starred in 93 movies and from 1950 to 1956 hosted and appeared in the Gene Autry Shaw.

Among many other things, he was famous for his ornate cowboy boots. The pair in the hand painted cacet actually belonged to Autry. In my cachet, Gene is shown in Western hat and slylish cowboy shirt. To emphasize his musical prowess, I show his big guitar. His signature song was I'm Back in the Saddle Again. Autry is also remembered today for his still popular Christmas renditions Radolph, the Red Nosed Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman, and Here Comes Santa Claus.

Gene Autry is a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame. On the Hollywood Walk of Fame, he is the ONLY performer to be awarded stars in all five entertainrnent categories - film, television, music, radio, and live performance. Western Wear - Cowboy Boots for the Singing Cowboy is now ready. Collins #S6003 at $16.50.
