1990 NORTH CAROLINA

Flying with the coastal air currents, a pair of canvasbacks glides over the dunes of the outer banks. An ominous sky foretells of an impending storm.

Stamp serial numbers used were 4501 to 4800 excluding 506, 590, 682, 737, 743, 744, 748, and 753. The Century Station was the post Office where the First Day postmark was obtained. I wasn't happy with the Raleigh cancel's quality, but the date is strong, The MILFORD collection will, by its nature, contain a variety of postmarks in terms of appearance and quality. These differences, good and bad, will give the various MILFORDS true philatelic character and substance.
