1990 OKLAHOMA

This hand-painted cachet captures a pair of Hooded Mergansers swimming in a shaIIow pond. Note the water texture and use of reflections both in the water and on the ducks. A backdrop of reeds and cattails accented by a blue-gray sky add the finishing touches. The state stamp is bold and beautiful and it is tied to the envelope with the July 2nd First Day cancellation.
