1990 COLORADO

This MILFORD is a significant FDC as the stamp is the "First of State". I have noted this important fact on the cachet. Stamp numbers used were 048031 thru 048331 except 048301 to 048307 plus 309 and 310. The First Day postmark from Fort Collins is quite weak in regard to the city, but the date is strong.

The hand-painted cachet captures a breatktaking scene as a "V" of seven Canadian geese f1y high above wooded hills with the Rocky Mountains rising majestically in the background. This is the initial MILFORD First of State cover.
