1990 ARKANSAS

This First Day Cover is a very desirable Duck collectible from two standpoints. First, it is another state for your first year MILFORD collection. Second, the Duck stamp is a variety that I believe is extremely rare. On the Day of Issue after selling the stamps to MILFORD and a very few others, the state abruptly withdrew them from sale. They felt that the image area was printed too lightly and wanted them redone. The light color variety only exists on your MILFORD FDC and the few sold to a couple of collectors on First Day. None were purchased for speculation because no one knew that they were going to be taken off sa1e. Whether or not the stamp gains value in its own right, having it on your Arkansas MILFORD is a very big plus.
