On this cover the placement of the Duck Stamp provided the opportunity for a distinctive hand-painted cachet. "split"  hand-painted cachet. To the left, a Wigeon strikes a pretty pose by water's edge. Secluded in the reeds some distance from the shoreline, a nest of eggs awaits hatching.

Serial numbers used were 139-000511-1 thru 139-000803-1.
