1991 NEW JERSEY
New Jersey was known during our war for independence as the "Crossroads of the Revolution". Then, as now, shore birds and migratory coastline waterfowl frequented the in great numbers. The hand-piinted cachet captures two Atlantic brant as they skim arong over a salt water marsh at sunset. Soft Lolors bring out that special peacefulness and tranguility that is twilight time.
The stamps, including the New Jersey flag which boasts a Revolutionary seal, are canceled on Day of Issue at Liberty Corner. Serial numbers used are 10,651 thru 10,960 except for 942 and 943.
