1993 CONNECTICUT

"First of State" status makes this MILFORD duck FDC a most desirable collectible. For the first duck stamp from Connecticut, the st.ate chose a pair of black ducks flying along the coast. For my hand-painted cachet, I portray a Mystic Seaport type setting with a pair of ducks in the foreground. The picturesque seaside village gives a historic flair reminiscent of traditional New England coastal harbors.

A nice postmark from Milford ties the new stamp and the jack-in-the-pulpit wildflower to the cover. Serial numbers used were 42662 Lo 42896. A key MILFORD duck stamp collectible celebrating the Connecticut First of State.
