A Tribute to the United States Navy

This vessel is a supercarrier of the United States Navy and the lead ship of her class. It is one of the largest warships in the world. The U.S.S. Nimitz was named for World War II Pacific Fleet Commander Chester W. Nimiz. This awesome nuclear-powered multi-mission aircraft carrier is the oldest in service.

My individually hand painted cachets show the Nimitz headed straight at you. The tower is to your left, and aircraft can be seen on the flight deck. The massive bow knifes through the water. I wanted this to be a bold cachet for a bold ship, so I chose a very large type style. The hand painting results in a very dynamic naval scene on the high seas.
